Author's pov
The glow from the monitor painted the living room in shifting blues and greens. JK's headset was tilted back over messy hair, one hand steady on the controller, the other drumming a silent rhythm on his knee. The game chat hummed like background static; his focus was a narrow, intense thing, pixel-perfect and immovable.
Y/N stood just behind the couch, watching him for a beat longer than she meant to. He looked ridiculous and irresistible — lips parted in concentration, brow furrowed, thumbs moving in a practiced dance. She crossed the room in soft steps, the carpet muffling her approach, and leaned on the back of the couch so close she could read the tiny creases at the corner of his eyes.
"Someone's deep," she murmured, running a fingertip down his shoulder.
He barely blinked. "Mm?"
She let her hand trail along his arm again, slower this time, testing. "You not even gonna look at me?"
