Neon leaked in from the street below, painting everything in bruised colors. He closed the door behind them with a soft, final click that sounded like an exhale, and the city fell to a distant hum.
He moved with a deliberate lightness, like a cat that knows exactly where it will land. His hands were competent, not hurried—an economy of motion that suggested this was not his first careful choreography. He reached for the scarf on the table as if it were part of the room’s furniture, and y/n felt the air thin around her wrists in anticipation.
"Say it," he said, half command, half invitation, and the playful edge in his voice twisted the air between them into something both dangerous and tender.
She let the single syllable slide out, tasting the word before she spoke it. "Yes."
It was not just assent; it was an agreement to fall into a game whose rules they would name in the dark. He wrapped the scarf with slow, exact knots—tight enough to feel like an altar, loose enough to promise safety. The fabric caught the light and the shadow, leaving pale tracks where it crossed her skin. With each loop, the room shrank until all that existed were the two of them and the taut hum of expectation.
